Using the Web Tray
After installing and configuring Information Manager, you are ready to use the Web Tray. The Web Tray is used for both Document Management Link and Notes functionality on the Sage 300 Web Screens.

Prerequisites
Orchid InfoManager Web Service running
The Orchid InfoManager Web Service needs to be running to view the Notes and DML Web Tray on the web screens.

Enable DML User
To enable Document Management Link functionality, the logged on user needs to be set as a DML User.

Using the Web Tray Icons
If the Orchid InfoManager Web Service is running, there are icons available in the Sage 300 web toolbar (on the top right of the screen).

You can use the icons to open / close the Web Tray.

Auto-open and Show Alert Box configuration
The tray opens automatically if is set to Show alert in I/M Options for the configured note or document.
Web Tray General Functionality
Web Tray Menu options
Use the context menu icon in the Web Tray to access the menu options:
Refresh Contents |
Use this to refresh the contents of the tray, for example if documents or notes have been added by other users for this record.

Move to left of screen |
When selected, the Web Tray opens on the left of the Sage 300 screen, overlapping the module menu. Use this option if using the web toolbar. This is the default opening position. |
Move to right of screen |
When selected, the Web Tray opens to the right of the Sage 300 screen. Use this option if you regularly use the main menus on the left hand side. |
Help |
Opens the Information Manager online help, with tips to configure and use the Notes and DML web screens.

Close |
This closes the tray. You can also use the Web Tray icon in the web toolbar to close the tray. |
Saving the tray position
By default, the Web Tray opens on the left hand side menu. You can use the Context Menu icon select to open the tray on the left or the right of the Sage 300 web screens.
The best position depends on your default screen size and how you generally use the Sage 300 web screens and menus.

Moving the tray
You can move the tray on the underlying screen using the Move cursor icon.
Hover on the edge of the Web Tray , click on the Move icon and drag the tray to where you want. You can move it horizontally and vertically.
