Maintain Workflow Users
Use Extender License Screen to Insert a row for each Sage 300 user that needs to progress the workflow or view outstanding workflow records.
Tip: Use the INS key on your keyboard to insert a new row
Note: You can enter users up to the number of workflow users you are licensed for. If you enter additional users, you will receive a "Too many users" error and your changes are not saved.
Select Yes in the "Is Workflow Anywhere" column.
Tip: Use the space bar to toggle between Yes and Blank
Upgrade Steps for Workflow Users
When upgrading from one Sage 300 version to another, make sure the previous version license is in the Sage 300 Shared Data folder configured for the new version. When you activate Extender to upgrade it, the users will be imported into the new version automatically.
You can also use the "Import users from prior version" button.
Note: If the new license includes fewer users, the first x users will be imported, up to the number in the current license.
If upgrading from Sage 300 version 2025 to Sage 300 version 2024
1. Copy the VI71A.lic file to the Shared Data folder if upgrading to a new server.
2. Activate Extender v2025. This will update the VI72A.lic file with the previously configured users
3. If the VI71A.lic file is not available when activating, you can copy the file after upgrading and use the Import Users from Prior Version button.
