What is a bank specification?

The "Specification" document outlines the format or layout of the file your bank requires.

The specification can be a PDF file, an Excel file, a link to a website.

It includes a description of the fields required, in what order, the field length, the type of data, the extension (txt, ach, xml) and other requirements.

Tip:

If you are currently sending EFT files to the bank from another system, a sample file is useful.

Tip:

If you are not currently using EFT Transfers, ask your bank account manager to explain their requirements to enable EFT Processing on your accounts.
