Definitions

Single-database version:

Single Database version Inter-Entity Transactions version that facilitates doing business and transferring funds between entities within an Sage 300 Company.

Multi-database version:

Multi Database version Inter-Entity Transactions version that facilitates doing business and transferring funds between entities across Sage 300 Companies.

Online Database:

An On-line database exists within the same Sage 300 environment as the Source Database. Transactions will be automatically generated in this On-line Database. 

Remote Database:

A Remote Database Entity is a Target Sage 300 database that exists in a different environment and transactions will be periodically exported to a spreadsheet for this database for importing.

In Entity Database Mappings, select No for Online Database. After posting the G/L Batch, use IET Periodic Processing and select "Pending" transactions.

Source Database:

A Remote Database Entity is a Target Sage 300 database that exists in a different environment and transactions will be periodically exported to a spreadsheet for this database for importing.

Target Database:

The database which receives the Inter-Entity transactions.
